Columbia, Mo. - Cougar softball player Jordan Crisp has collected the April 10th installment of the ‘Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches Cougar Athlete of the Week’ for her play over the past several weeks of the season.
A senior from Auxvasse, Mo., Jordan Crisp did not allow a single earned run in 21 innings pitched this week. The right-handed hurler for the Columbia Cougars posted two wins last week, including a five inning no hitter against conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange. Crisp struck out nine in that contest without allowing a walk. Jordan followed that performance with a three-hit shutout over Lindenwood University the next day, logging seven strikeouts. In a 2-1 loss to William Woods Crisp held the Owls to just three hits while fanning four. Crisp also appeared in the second game of the doubleheader against William Woods, chipping in a single strikeout in two innings of action.
For her efforts, Crisp was named the AMC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
