BELTON, Mo. - The Columbia College bowling team competed at the Tier 2 Eagle Invitational over the weekend, finishing runner-up in the 12 team cluster. On day one, the Cougars notched a score of 4294 through five team games. On day two, Columbia took seventh through 25 Baker games, securing a score of 4035.
With a second place result on day one, the Cougars have set the most amount of USBC power points accumulated in a Tier 2 event. This year, the squad has both Tier 1 and Tier 2 most points accumulated in a single event.
All five Cougar bowlers placed within the top 30, while
Kiana Hodges led the pack with an eighth place finish. This season, the Cougars have placed seven individuals within the top-10, tied for the most in a season in program history.
On day two, the Cougars faced adversity early on, but managed to fire off a 942 set, along with three games over 200.
The Cougars return to action February 15-16 at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
