WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Making their 13th NAIA post season appearance, the (RV) Columbia College women's soccer team will begin their 2025 NAIA Tournament campaign on Saturday at No. 9 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.). This is the second-ever matchup between the Cougars and the Patriots.
Columbia is coming off their 11th-straight American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament title, outscoring their opponents 8-0. Additionally, the Cougars earned their 11th regular season title in program history. Columbia heads into the meeting with a 12-4-2 overall record and a 5-0-1 AMC finish earning an automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament.
First Team All-Conference selection Georgia Pardolas is the top goal scorer for Columbia, and second in the AMC with 14 this season. All-American goalkeeper,
Natalie Allison has compiled a 0.90 goals against average, with seven shutouts and 67 saves, collecting an 11-4-2 record. Allison has also limited opponents to 14 goals this season.
The University of Cumberlands is making their seventh-consecutive NAIA appearance, as they produced a 13-4-3 overall record and a 4-2 Mid South Conference (MSC) mark. The Patriots finished runner-up in the MSC Championship game, falling 2-1 to (RV) Campbellsville University (Ky.), earning an at-large bid.
Forward Nicole Araujo leads the Patriots in goals on the season with nine goals and eight assists. Samantha Sokolove has proved herself securing the back line for the Cumberlands, limiting opponents to 16 goals and 8.2 shots per game.
Kick off between the Cougars and the Patriots is slated for Saturday at 11:00 AM CST as the teams play for a spot in the Round of 16.
