Columbia, Mo. - During the 2014 soccer seasons fans may have noticed a little difference in the R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium look. In the summer of 2014, construction got underway on the east side of the field. The construction quickly took shape after the men's and women's soccer seasons concluded in late November as crews tore up the Bermuda grass to make room for an all new look. The new stadium, scheduled for completion in early summer of 2015, will include an all turf field surrounded by a turf 2/3 lane track, four locker rooms, an official's locker room, a satellite athletic training station, storage, a press box and concession, restroom and ticket booth area for spectators.
