Why Give
Established in 1998, the Cougar Club raises financial support for Columbia College's eighteen varsity sports, including Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Women's Bowling, Men's & Women's Cross Country and Track & Field, eSports, Men's & Women's Golf, Men's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball, and Women's Volleyball. Your contribution to Cougar Athletics will help honor the past and ensure the future successes of the nearly 300 student-athletes at Columbia College. Contributions may be used as scholarship support for student-athletes, to improve facilities or to provide operational funding for Cougar Athletics. Though you cannot be on the field or the court, your support is an excellent way to be a part of the team and help the Cougars improve on the tradition of athletic excellence.
Athletic Accomplishments
Columbia College is one of nearly 260 institutions that compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Cougar athletic department has established itself as one of the top competitors in the NAIA. Some of last year's notable accomplishments include:
- 8 Conference Champions
- 13 Teams competed in NAIA Championship Events
- 1 National Runner-up
- 2 Teams ranked #1 in the nation
- Finished 24th in final NAIA Learfield Director's Cup standings
- 115 All-Conference members
- 18 NAIA All-Americans
- 153 Academic All-Conference Honorees
- 35 NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Donor Recognition
Donations to Cougar Athletics are tracked annually and over a donor's lifetime (see charts below for more information). Donors receive recognition in all game day programs and the college's annual report, which is mailed each fall to more than 50,000 Columbia College alumni and friends. Lifetime Hall of Fame donors receive an automatic nomination for the Columbia College Athletic Hall of Fame.
