Cross Country Earns Weekly Award

St. Louis, Mo. - This afternoon the American Midwest Conference announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on October 27th. For their efforts this past week, Alexander Dukes was named the AMC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and Brianna Haller was named the AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Alexander Dukes, a sophomore from Mexico, Missouri competed at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge and finished 16th out of 311 runners. He covered the 8K course in a time of 25:30, which is the second-fastest 8K time in the AMC this season. This is his first-career AMC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

Brianna Haller, a sophomore from Freeburg, Missouri, finished 20th out of 277 runners at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. Haller ran 18:54, which is also the second-best time in the AMC this season for a women's 5K race. She now owns the top-two fastest times in the conference this season and has gone sub-19:00 twice this season. This is her fourth-career AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.
