Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College men's and women's indoor track and field teams opened up their indoor season today when they traveled across town to the University of Missouri to compete in the Missouri Holiday Opener.
Drake Baker led the way for the men finishing second in the 600 meter with a time of 1:26. In addition,
Dillon Porter placed third in pole vault with a height of 4.00 meters.
Jimmy Gianopulos competed in two events with a sixth place finish in the 60 meter run (7.18) and 10
th in the 200 meter (24.11).
Zach Nichols took seventh in both weight throw (14.80m) and shot put (13.13m).

The women's team was led by
Lily Ashrafzadeh who finished third in the 200 meter with a time of 27.35 with
Ebony Kimmins finishing in fifth with a time of 27.64. Kimmins also competed in the 400 meter where she finished third (1:03), while
Halie Moeller came right behind her in fourth (1:04).
Tess Losacker competed in the 600 meter taking third (1:54). In long jump, Nadia Porro-Fanjul led the way coming in third (5.03m) with Ashrafzedeh and
Tessa Edgar coming right behind her with a distance of 5.01m and 4.98m, respectively.

The men's and women's indoor track and field teams will be back in action on Friday, January 17
th when they compete at the Missouri Open at the University of Missouri.
