Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College men's and women's indoor track and field teams traveled across town to compete in the Missouri Collegiate Challenge.
Quinton Brown led the way for the men by claiming first in the high jump with a distance of 2.00 meters. Additionally,
Travis Line finished third in the 800 meter (1:58),
Grant Uthlaut took fourth in the 3000 meter run (9:07),
Noah Payne claimed fourth in the 600 meter (1:29) with
Ethan Line coming right behind him in fifth (1:29), and
Zach Nichols finished fifth in shot put with a distance of 14.25 meters.
Two Cougars led the way for the women's side by taking second in their respective events.
Mikayla Sehlmeyer competed in the 3,000 meter and finished with a time of 10:41 while Nadia Porro-Fanjul competed in long jump with a distance of 5.08 meters. Other notable mentions include
Kayla Shiverdecker who finished third in high jump (1.50m),
Makenzie Schwartz who took fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (9.77) and
Ebony Kimmins who also claimed fourth in the 400 meter (1:02).

The men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action on Thursday, March 5
th when they travel to Brookings, South Dakota to compete in the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
