Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College women's bowling team traveled to Dubuque, Iowa this weekend to compete in the second annual Heart of America Conference Championship. There were a total of seven teams competing, including Baker University, Clarke University, Culver-Stockton University, Grand View University, Missouri Baptist University, and William Penn University.
 
The Cougars bowled six four-game matches on Saturday to finish fifth on the day. On Sunday, they were then seeded into a double elimination bracket where they were seeded against Grand View, who then defeated the Cougars by a three to one decision. In the elimination bracket, Columbia had to face Missouri Baptist, who defeated the Cougars by a three to two decision. The bowling team ended the conference tournament coming in fifth overall.
 
This marks the end of the 2019-20 bowling season. The Cougars will return to the bowling alley next fall.
