Men’s Golf Team Takes Home First

Quincy, Ill.-  The Columbia Cougar Men's Golf team traveled to Quincy, Illinois to compete in the Culver-Stockton College Fall Invitational. The men's team took first place out of eight teams, and finished with a team score of 596 (299-297, par +36). The men's B team placed fifth with a team score of 650 (334-316, +99).
 
A Team
Noah Wilson placed first in his first collegiate victory. His total score was 146 (75-71, +6)
Cameron Vanleer finished fourth with a score of 149 (73-76, +9)
Trey Burton placed fifth with a score of 152 (74-78, +12)
Gage Brauns tied for sixth with a score of 154 (82-72, +14)
Kanon Kendrick tied eighth with a final score of 155 (76-79, +15)
 
B Team
Jesper Holke-Farnam tied eighth with a final score of 155 (77-78, +15)
Landon Jackson tied for 15th with a final score of 160 (87-73, +20)
Scott Shulman tied for 20th with a final score of 162 (83-79, +22)
Tanner Brandow placed 36th with a final score of 176 (91-85, +36)
Rylee Hanson placed 40th with a final score of 179 (88-91, +39)
 
Individual Players
Tanner Elder tied eight with a final score of 155 (78-77, +15)
Preston Bennett tied for 15th with a final score of 160 (81-79, +20)

The men will be back in action on Tuesday, October 6th at the Columbia College Cougar Classic, which will take place at the Columbia Country Club in Columbia, Missouri.
