Fayetteville, Ark. - (Results) The Columbia College men's and women's cross country teams competed in their third event of the season on Friday. The two teams ran in the 33rd annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
The No. 21-ranked women's team competed in the College Women 5K which featured ranked teams from NCAA DI, NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, and NAIA. The Cougars placed 31 out of 37 in the loaded field.
Four runners set career bests for the Cougars:

Mikayla Sehlmeyer,
Kyla Bertschinger, and
Daylin Huebotter
Columbia Women's Cross Country Individual Results:
On the men's side, the Cougars saw
Austin Tegeler set a career best time, while
Charlie Werth and
Peter Giles set new season best times. The Cougars, competing without some of their top runners, placed 22 out of 31 in a field that featured numerous NCAA DII and top NAIA schools.
