Salina, Kan. - Last weekend the Cougars bowling team traveled to Salina, Kan. for the Regional U.G. conference championships, held at "The Alley." The teams represented were Midland University, Ottawa University, Morningside, Kansas Wesleyan University, Missouri Baptist, Hastings and Columbia College. 
 
The first day of competition everyone bowled seven, four game baker matches.  Total for the 28 baker games seeded you for the second day of match play.  After day one Columbia College was seeded 3^rd and bowled against the 6^th seed, Missouri Baptist.  Missouri Baptist jumped out to a 2 – 0 start but the Cougars came back with a strong third game to extend the match. The gap was too much for the Cougars to overcome and Missouri Baptist eliminated Columbia College with a 3 and 1 decision.    
 
The Cougars will travel to Lawrence, Kan. next weekend to bowl in the Jayhawk Classic.
