NORMAN, Okla. - Columbia College men's and women's golf coach Barry Doty has been named as the 2024 NAIA Golf Pride Grips Midwest Coach of the Year.

Doty led the No. 11-ranked Cougar men's golf squad on a historic run this season, finishing fourth at the NAIA Men's Golf Championships in Dalton, Georgia, while producing three All-Americans. Columbia racked up six tournament championships over the course of the 2023-24 season, picking up their second-consecutive AMC Tournament title. 

On the women's side, the (RV) Cougars won all ten tournaments in the 2023-24 campaign, while grabbing their third-straight AMC Tournament title. With the victory, Columbia received an automatic berth into the NAIA Women's Golf Championships in Silvis, Illinois.

Doty was also named as the 2023-24 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men's and Women's Coach of the Year.
