COLUMBIA, Mo. - Current Columbia College Director of Athletics and former College Sports Communicators (CSC) President, Cindy Potter, has been selected to the 2025 CSC Hall of Fame Class. She joins a six-member Hall of Fame class selected by the CSC organization.

Having worked at Columbia College since 2005, the CC alumna has served in athletic communications, as well as administrative roles for the college.

As of September 2024, Potter stepped into the role as Senior Deputy Director of Athletics, while continuing her role as Senior Women's Leader.

Potter is the first female athletic director to serve at Columbia College, and was the first representative from an National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) school to ascend into the officer rotation of the CSC (CoSIDA).

She has earned numerous accolades through the CSC having received the organization's Rising Star Award (College Division) in 2008, earned the 2020 Warren Berg Award for outstanding communications service and leadership, and received the 2022 Bud Nagle Award for displaying ethics, integrity, compassion and/or bravery under an unusual or stressful personal or professional situations.

Potter has also been a member of various NAIA national committees, including the National Administrative Council, Council of Presidents and RISE (Respect, Inclusivity, Support, Education). She currently serves as the American Midwest Conference's representative on the National Administrative Council.

Further, the Cougar softball alumna (2002-04) was also induced into the Columbia College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

The CSC Hall of Fame induction will take place at the CSCUnite 25 annual convention at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort on Monday, June 9.

CSC's Interim Executive Director, Will Roleson states, "CSC's Special Awards program and Hall of Fame annually honors many outstanding athletics communicators for their contributions to the profession and national association." 

Roleson goes on to say, "Honoring deserving members and others who have contributed to CSC is a hallmark of our organization, and we look forward to saluting this year's honorees for their achievements at our upcoming convention."

Additionally, each of these six 2025 Hall of Fame inductees will join their predecessors on the CSC Hall of Fame plaques that are on permanent display at the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis.
