TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Columbia College men's cross country team competed at the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park. The Cougar men competed in the 8k event, placing 31st out of 37 teams.
Junior,
Kalieb Redda was Columbia's top runner, earning NAIA All-American honors placing 17th in the field of 323. His 24:52.1 finish marked the highest placement of his career at an NAIA Championship race and the third-best 8k time in program history.
Malo Helion and
Marcos Lara both made their NAIA Championships debut. Helion finished with a time of 26:39.3 and Lara crossed at a time of 26:45.2.
