ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Columbia College women's cross country team captured their first American Midwest Conference (AMC) Championship since 2021 on Thursday morning, hosted by the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis. This marks the Cougars seventh overall AMC title.
The Cougars dominated the course, racking up just 23 points in the 6k and placing six runner in the top 10.
Hailey Gerard led the charge, earning AMC Runner of the Year honors, while Brenley Webb was recognized as AMC Freshman of the Year. Abigail Woytus received the Champions of Character Award, rounding out a stellar day for the program. The Cougars also swept the coaching honors, with head coach Brennan Cape and assistants Mason McCaleb and Ryan Bontz named the AMC Coaching Staff of the Year.
