Men's Indoor Track and Field Earns Third-Straight AMC Indoor Title, Howell Breaks AMC Record

ELSAH, Ill. -  The Columbia College men's indoor track and field team took home their third-straight American Midwest Conference (AMC) Championship (seventh overall) Saturday, dominating the field with 242 points. Runner-up William Woods University (Mo.) finished with 142 points.

Brenin Howell broke the school record and AMC record in shot put with a 17.07m mark, clinching the title.

Along with Howell, six other Cougars earned first place finishes including Silas Woodbury (high jump - 1.88m), Kalieb Redda (5000m run - 15:08.61), Trystan Wright (60m hurdles - 8.44), Bernard Bailey (400m dash - 50.50), Charlie Werth (3000m run -  8:52.30), along with the 4x400 meter relay team (Jace Carr, Conner Diaz, Cameron Elder, Bernard Bailey - 3:27.90).

Columbia's 4x800 relay team (Ryan Brown, Kalieb Redda, Charlie Werth, Oscar Curry) placed second, breaking the program record, while also hitting the NAIA A Standard with a time of 7:50.89.
 

Kalieb Redda was named Athlete of the Meet and Outstanding Track Athlete, while Grant Erisman earned Outstanding Field Athlete honors.
 
Noah Richardson was named to the Champions of Character Team.
 
Columbia's Brennan Cape, Mason McCaleb, Ryan Bontz, and Nadia Fanjul Sanchez-Porro were also named AMC Coaching Staff of the Year.
