PITTSBURG, Kan. / ELSAH, Ill. - The Columbia College track and field teams competed this weekend at the Pittsburg State Invitational and the Principia College Relays. The weekend was highlighted by
Marcos Lara at the Pittsburg State Invitational as he broke the Columbia College men's indoor school record in the mile run with a time of 4:16.58. Lara finished 10th in the event.
Brenin Howell also hit the NAIA B Standard in shot put at the Principia College Relays, placing third with a throw of 16.12m. On the women's side,
Claudia Dixon achieved a second place finish in shot put at the Principia College Relays with a 11.69m throw.
Columbia returns to action at the Jim Green Invite on February 7th in Jacksonville, Ill.
