Track and Field Competes at Jim Green Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Columbia College track and field teams competed at the Jim Green Invite this weekend hosted by Illinois College.

The Cougar women were highlighted by Penelope Hansen who earned a first place finish in shot put with a throw of 12.00m. Montgomery Keck finished the day with two runner-up finishes in triple jump (11.26m) and 60m hurdles (9.12), while Caleigh Huot finished second in the 200m dash (26.76).

Two Cougar men earned first place finishes as Brenin Howell secured a 15.71m throw in shot put , while Kalieb Redda notched a time of 8:33.36 in the 3000m run. Max Stephan also finished runner-up in the 800m run with a time of 2:03.06.

Columbia returns to action at the Glorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan. on February 13th.
