Haileselassie Breaks Two Program Records, Earns Two-Time All-American Status at NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - On the final day of the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Kalieb Haileselassie earned two-time All-American honors in a single day, breaking two program records in the 3000m and 5000m run.

After running in the distance medley relay on Thursday, Haileselassie continued his time at the championships, taking part in both the 3000m and 5000m run. He earned seventh place in the 3000m run with a time of 8:15.18, then followed with another seventh place finish in the 5000m run, posting a time of 14:30.52.

Columbia's Brenin Howell took the field in shot put, securing a throw of 15.48m and finishing 20th in a field of 30 competitors.

Hailey Gerard competed in the 5000m run, securing a time of 17:52.71 and placing 13th out of 17 runners.

To round out the Cougars, Ryan Brown, Garrett Donald, Campbell Nichols, and Marcos Lara teamed up on the distance medley relay, posting a time of 10:26.81 and placing 11th out of 12 teams.
