Orlando, FL - The Columbia College cheer and dance teams wrapped up their seasons over the weekend as both teams competed in NCA/NDA nationals in Florida.
The Cougar dance team competed in both the Jazz and Team Performance categories, while Cheer competed in the Intermediate All Girl NAIA division.
Cheer finished the preliminary round with a score of 77.39, surpassing their season-high of 75.72 at the Cougar Classic.
Advancing to the final round, the Cougars found stiff competition in a loaded-field and still managed a 75.44 score for a 7th-place finish.
In the jazz category, Dance nearly set a new season-high as they totaled a score of 75.69.
In the Team Performance, the Cougars faced off against seven other teams, five of which qualified and competed at NAIA Nationals in March. Earning zero deductions, the Cougars earned a performance score of 77.4, marking a new season-high and a 6th-place finish.
