COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Columbia College Esports Rocket League Silver team competed in the PlayVS Collegiate Championship, entering the tournament as the No. 2 seed. The championship spanned three weeks of single-elimination competition.

In the opening round, the Cougars faced Ferris State University and dominated the Bulldogs from start to finish, advancing to the semifinals. There, Columbia met a formidable opponent in Albertus Magnus College. The two teams traded games in a back-and-forth battle before the Cougars took control in the decisive third game, closing out the series and securing their spot in the championship.
Championship Game
In the title match, the Cougars faced No. 1 seeded Rochester Institute of Technology, a team that had dropped just one series all season. Columbia fell behind early, losing Game 1 by a score of 3–5, but responded with a dominant 4–0 victory in Game 2. The Cougars never looked back, ultimately winning the series 4–1 to claim Columbia College's first-ever PlayVS Collegiate Championship — capping a perfect 11–0 season.
