ANDOVER, KS – The Columbia College men's golf team finished third out of 14 teams with a total score of +34 at The Lark Invitational at Terradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas. The Cougars posted rounds of +7, +16 and +11 across the two-day event.
Tom Clarens was Columbia's top finisher, coming in tied for sixth overall with a score of +6 (73-75-71). His even-par final round was the low score among all Cougar golfers in Round 3 and helped anchor the team's finish. Teagen Hull came in ninth overall at +8, carding consistent rounds of 74-75-72 across the two days.
Blake Hartner finished in a tie for 10th at +9 (72-73-77), opening the tournament as Columbia's low scorer in Round 1 before a difficult final round. Landon Mabe rounded out the counting scores with a +12 total (73-77-75), finishing tied for 18th. Bruno Marti Jimenez finished tied for 32nd at +18 (73-79-79); Blake Sykes finished tied for 45th at +21.
Texas A&M-San Antonio's Nils Emil Sjo was the individual medalist with a total score of +1 (69-74-71). Texas A&M-San Antonio claimed the team title at +29, with Seminole State (OK) finishing second at +31.
The Cougars are back in action April 20-21 at the AMC Men's Golf Championships at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne, Arkansas.
