Daniel Radkowiec enters his fourth season as Assistant Coach with the Columbia College men’s and women’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. 

In his first three seasons with the Cougars, Daniel served as the distance coach for both the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams. He has led the men's team to back-to-back-to-back AMC Cross Country titles earning them their sixth title in the program’s seven years of competition. He also led the women's team to their second and third AMC Cross Country Championships in 2017 and 2018, and he led the men's team to a runner-up finish in the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships in 2017. He has earned two AMC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year Awards, one AMC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year Award, and one Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year Award.

Daniel joins the Cougar staff after spending six years as the Head Coach of the cross country and track and field teams at William Woods University.  While at William Woods, Radkowiec had 88 athletes complete at the NAIA National Championships.  He coached 25 NAIA All-Americans, including coaching an individual NAIA National Champion during the 2013 season.  During his successful stint at William Woods University the Owls won 17 AMC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and two AMC Cross Country Championships.  He was named AMC Coach of the Year 19 different times while at William Woods University, 17 times for Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and 2 times for Cross Country.
 
Prior to coaching at William Woods University, Radkowiec served as an assistant coach for cross country/track and field at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2002-2007.  While at UMKC Daniel helped with recruiting, academics, and worked directly with the middle/long distance runners.  Before joining the staff at UMKC he competed as an athlete for the Kangaroos from 1998-2002. 
 
He currently resides in Columbia with his wife Jill and their three daughters.
