Biography
2016 Indoor/Outdoor Track: Competed in 11 events for the Cougars on the track… Posted eight top-10 finishes including nine top-five finishes… Placed fourth and set a new PR in the mile run at the NAIA vs. NCAA Challenge with a time of 5:25.16 and placed sixth in the 3,000m run with a time of 10:57.11… Finished fourth at the Jayhawk Classic in the mile run (5:30.57)… Competed in the AMC Indoor Championships and placed third in the 3,000m (10:58.39) and in the mile (5:27.92) while also placing second overall in the DMR (14:16.68)… Competed in the NAIA Indoor Championships in the 5,000m and placed 24th overall with a time of 19:08.42… Finished third in the 5,000m (20:10.17) and fifth in the 1,500m (5:18.57) at the AMC Outdoor Championships.
2015 Indoor/Outdoor Track: Finished sixth overall at the Missouri Invitational with a time of 11:06.23 in the 3000 meter run … Placed third at the Jayhawk Classic in the 3000 with a time of 10:50.61… Member of Columbia's 4x800 championship team, part of the second place Distance Medley Relay team and also won the 3000 at the AMC Indoor Track Championships…Placed seventh in the 5000 at the NAIA indoor championships with a career best 17:42.10… Helped the Cougars to a second place finish in the 4x8 and placed fourth in the 1500 at the AMC Outdoor Championships
2014 Indoor/Outdoor Track: Member of Columbia's 4x800 and Distance Medley Relay championship teams and also finished second in the 800 at the AMC Indoor Track Championships ... Placed 4th in the 5000 (18:28) at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, 2nd in the 3000 (10:48) at the Missouri Relays, and 2nd in the 10,000 (39:15) at the AMC Outdoor Championships
2013 Indoor/Outdoor Track: Posted a season-best time of 5:00.92 in the 1500 meter event at the Kip Janvrin Open on Apr. 25th...Finished ninth overall in the 1 mile run at the UCM Mule Relays on Feb. 2nd with a season-best time of 5:36.76...Ran the 5000 meter in a season-best 18:24.66 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on May 10th
Prep: Attended West Plains High School...4 year All-District & All-Conference, All-Sectional her junior and senior year...also a member of the soccer team
Personal: Daughter of Don and Jo Lynn Shultz ... youngest of 4 - Derek (27), David (22), and Jacob (21)...plans to major in History with an Anthropology minor
