Box Score Columbia, Mo. - The Cougar Volleyball team defeated visiting Benedictine University at Springfield 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-23) on Tuesday night, marking their straight conference win dating back to September 25^th. Columbia, ranked No. 22 in the NAIA Top 25, improves to 20-9 overall and 8-1 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) with the victory.

The Cougars jumped out to a 5-0 lead in game one of the night and led by as many as 14 on their way to a 25-12 opening set win. Columbia built another double-digit lead in game two and took a 2-0 advantage in the match after winning the second set 25-15. The Cougars struggled in game three, but used a 5-0 run to close out the match with a 25-23 victory.

Trinity Ojo finished with 11 kills on the night to lead the Columbia attack. AMC Player of the Week Lydie van Deursen logged a match-high 28 assists and Paula Rosa had seven service aces to lead all players.

The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday, October 30^th when they travel to conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Hannibal, Mo.
