Box Score Columbia, Mo. - The Cougar women's basketball team defeated American Midwest Conference (AMC) opponent St. Louis College of Pharmacy 89-49 on Saturday afternoon to claim their 9
th straight victory. Columbia improves to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play with the win.
The Cougars carried a 42-22 advantage into the halftime break after shooting 42 percent from the field. Columbia continued to dominate and would shoot 51 percent in the second half to finish with a 46 percent clip for the game.
Freshman
Ashlee Marlatt led the team with a game high 15 points on five-of-six shooting from behind the arc.
Petrolina Chilaka and
Samantha Cavlovich chipped in 14 points apiece while
Sarah Walters finished with 11 points.
Martha Imoniana pulled down 10 rebounds to help Columbia finish with a 46-21 advantage on the boards and Chilaka dished out a team high four assists.
The Cougars return to the court Tuesday, December 8
th when they travel to Olathe, Kan. to take on 9
th-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
