Columbia, Mo. - The Cougar men's basketball team won their fifth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, defeating American Midwest Conference (AMC) opponent St. Louis College of Pharmacy by a score of 118-50. Columbia, ranked No. 4 in Tuesday's latest release of the NAIA Top 25 Poll, moves to 21-2 overall and 14-1 in league play with the victory. With the win, the Cougars also improve to 10-0 all-time against the Eutectics.

The Cougars built a double-digit lead early in the first half as Jackson Dubinski knocked down a three pointer to put Columbia up 18-7 at the 12:08 mark. Columbia would maintain the lead over the remainder of the half and take a 53-22 advantage into the locker room at halftime. The Cougars outrebounded the Eutectics 19-10 in the opening period, while shooting 59 percent from the field and holding STCOP to a 40 percent clip. Nic Reynolds recorded 11 first half points while Dwaun Stewart had 10 points.

The Cougars led by as many as 68 in the second half on their way to their 22^nd victory of the season.

The Cougars shot 65 percent in the final half to end with a season-high 62 percent from the field, led by Stewart with a career-high 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds and four assists. Reynolds added 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting from behind the arc while Marcus Whitt and Zach Rockers chipped in 16 points apiece.

The Eutectics finished shooting 35 percent from the field and were led by John Meinhardt with 26 points.

The Cougars will return to the court on Thursday, February 4^th when they travel to Lindenwood University-Belleville for another conference matchup. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. in Belleville, Ill.
