Cougars Battle Warriors to 0-0 Draw

Forest City, Iowa – This afternoon the 17th ranked Columbia College men's soccer team was back in action when they traveled to Forest City, Iowa, to take on Waldorf (Iowa) University in a non-conference matchup. The Cougars, who defeated Missouri Baptist by a final score of 2-1 on Monday, were able to improve to 12-2-2 on the season after battling the Warriors to a 0-0 draw.

Columbia College controlled the tempo for most of the game outshooting the Warriors 20-12 through double overtime while putting seven shots on target. They were able to create several scoring opportunities throughout the game but were unable to capitalize. Despite having a tough time finding the back of the net, the Cougars were able to play solid defense holding the Warriors to just two shots on goal in 110 minutes of action.

Nicolau Neto was in goal for Columbia as the senior made two saves in his seventh shutout of the season.

The Cougars are back in action on Tuesday, October 24th when they travel to Conway, Arkansas, to take on Central Baptist (Ark.) College in an AMC matchup. The game is set to start at 6 p.m.
