– The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2019 Baseball All-America teams as selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches' Association All-America Committee. For the Cougars, sophomore
Kenny Piper received All-American Honorable Mention.
Piper, a sophomore from Florissant, Missouri, contributed key contributions to the Cougars success this season. He played in 54 games, scoring 37 runs, accumulating 65 hits including 19 doubles, two triples, and 12 homeruns, and earned 64 RBIs. In addition, he held a 0.620 slugging percentage, 0.325 batting average, and 0.396 on base percentage. He started in all 54 contests he played in and posted a 0.943 fielding percentage with 202 put-outs and 64 assists.
Nationally, Piper was ranked 20
th in both runs batted in per game (1.185) and total runs batted in (64), 27
th in total doubles (19), and 37
th in home runs (12). He was also 44
th in doubles per game (0.352), 46
th in total bases per game (2.296), and 47
th in both home runs per game (0.222) and total total bases (124).
