Cougars Compete at Bradley Invitational

Peoria, Ill. –.This evening the men's and women's cross country teams were back in action when they traveled to Peoria, Illinois to compete in the 2019 Bradley University Invitational. The 14th ranked men's team took fifth place out of 19 teams with a score of 170 points and the 25th ranked women's team took fifth out of 20 teams with 204 points.

The women's team was led by Brianna Haller who took 20th out of 213 runners in the 5k race with a time of 18:28. Grace Brinkmann placed 42nd with a time of 19:11, Jada O' Donnell placed 45th (19:15), Mikayla Sehlmeyer took 48th (19:24) and Kyla Bertschinger finished 49th (20:11) to round out the scoring for the Cougars.

The men's side was led by Alexander Dukes who placed 16th out of 198 runners in the 7k race with a time of 26:40. In addition,  Dean Frossard  finished 29th (27:29), Brock Fisher took 36th (27:56),  Grant Uthlaut  placed 37th (27:57), and Malik Holman finished 52nd (28:47) to complete the scoring for Columbia.

The Cougars are back in action on Saturday, October 5th when they host the inaugural Columbia College Intercollegiate at the Gans Creek Cross Country course in Columbia, Mo. The event is set to start at 9:30 a.m. for the men with the women's race to follow at 10:30 a.m.
