Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Cougars Victorious Over Eutectics

St. Louis, Mo. – Tonight in STLCOP Gymnasium, the Cougars competed against St. Louis College of Pharmacy in another AMC matchup. The Cougars silenced the Eutectics on their home court, defeating them 71-46 to move to 10-7 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.

It was a rough start to the game as both teams struggled to find the basket for the first ten minutes of play, scoring a combined 12 points. The Cougars then made a step in the right direction as they took a 10-point lead which the Eutectics were able to cut down to five in the final four minutes of the half.

Columbia returned from the locker room a completely different team offensively making bucket after bucket to pull away from St. Louis College of Pharmacy early on. The Eutectics tried getting back in the game, but the Cougars built a 20-point cushion that was too much for the home team to handle.

Columbia extended their lead early in the second half, scoring 14 unanswered points.
