Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College men's soccer team defeated Central Baptist (Ark.) 7-0 in today's contest. The Cougars are 6-1 on the season and 5-0 in AMC action.
The Scoring
Rece Gilmore scored his first collegiate goal to give the Cougars a 1-0 advantage, assisted by
Joey Spotanski. This was the only goal of the first half.
Joey Spotanski had a goal of his own to start the second half, assisted by
Matheus Albuquerque, 2-0.
Extending the Cougar lead,
Parker Moon scored a goal at the 57-minute mark, 3-0.
Shortly after,
Charles Norman connected with a goal, assisted by
Rece Gilmore, 4-0.
Ximo Gil recorded his first goal of the season, assisted by
Cameron Davis, 5-0.
Two minutes later,
Anthony Sobolevsky had a successful shot, assisted by
Charles Norman, 6-0.
The final goal of the match was recorded by
Akins Banton, assisted by
Ximo Gil, 7-0.
