Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College men's soccer team defeated Missouri Baptist University this evening, 3-1. The Cougars move to 3-1 on the season, while staying undefeated in AMC action.
The Scoring
Within the first five minutes of play, Missouri Baptist scored their first and only goal of the game. The goal was headed in by Richie Taylor off a free kick assisted by Dom Smith (0-1).
Later in the first half,
Nick Brandt tied it up for the Cougars, assisted by
Erik Rajoy (1-1).
To take the lead,
Maclain Petri headed in a goal, assisted by
Lesia Thetsane (2-1).
The final goal of the game was kicked in by
Nathan Durdle, assisted by Petri and Brandt (3-1).
