Columbia, Mo. – In the final matchup of Fall 2020, the Columbia College women's volleyball team was defeated by Missouri Baptist, 3-0 Thursday evening. The Cougars have an overall record of 10-3, with a 4-1 record in the AMC.

Set 1: Columbia 18 | Missouri Baptist 25
Columbia battled against the Spartans throughout the first set, gaining their first lead of the match, 8-7. Missouri Baptist quickly regained the lead and went on a 5-0 run to eventually secure the first set.

Set 2: Columbia 19 | Missouri Baptist 25
The Spartans took the early lead, but a kill from Sidney Branson put the Cougars within one, 7-6. Missouri Baptist gained their largest lead of the match of eight (20-12), but the Cougars fought back with four straight points, 21-17. Despite their fight, the Cougars lost the second set, 25-19.

Set 3: Columbia 22 | Missouri Baptist 25
Columbia came out of the gates strong in the final set, taking their largest lead of the match, 9-6. The Cougars recorded 16 kills in the set, but it was not enough to outrun the Spartans. Missouri Baptist had five straight points which eventually led them to take the match, 25-22.
