Columbia, Mo. - Today the Columbia College men's basketball team took on the Park (Mo.) University Pirates in an AMC match up. The Cougars defeated the Pirates by a final score of 77-64. Columbia is now 15-8 on the season and 10-5 in conference play.
 
The Cougars held the Pirate's to just two points in the first five and half minutes of play. Park fought to close the gap but Columbia held onto their lead to finish the half with a score of 39-30.
 
Park came out hot and tied up the game but it wasn't long before the Cougars reciprocated to pull back the lead. The Cougars gained the advantage and stretched the gap out of the Pirates reach to claim the victory.
 
Key Moment
Excessive fouls by Park gave the Cougars the boost to get the lead back and remain in the lead for the win.
