Elsah, Ill. – The Columbia College men's and women's indoor track and field teams traveled to Elsah, Illinois to compete in the Principia Relays earlier today.
Alex Fritz led the way for the men taking second in both the 300 meter (36.22) and the 500 meter (1:07).
Grant Uthlaut also had a great showing, finishing in second in the 3,000 meter with a time of 9:14 while the 4x800 relay team made up of
Alexander Dukes,
Dean Frossard,
Jacob Jenkins, and
Travis Line came in second with a time of 8:25.
The women's team was led by
Mikayla Sehlmeyer who claimed the 3,000 meter with a time of 11:14 while finishing fourth in the mile (5:26). Additionally,
Ebony Kimmins took third in the 500 meter (1:23) and fifth in the 300 meter (44.06) while
Meaghan Rice placed third in shot put with a distance of 11.48m.

The men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action when they return to Elsah, Illinois on Saturday, February 8 to compete in the AMC Indoor Championships.
