Cougars Claim Win Over Scots

Batesville, Ark. – The Cougars were on the road this afternoon for their final regular reason AMC contest in Batesville, Arkansas to compete against the Lyon College Scots. Columbia defeated the Scots in a tight matchup, 67-63, and are now 19-11 on the season and 14-8 in conference.

Columbia took the lead in the first two minutes of the game and continued to maintain control throughout the entire half with their biggest lead being six-points while only losing the lead once, but took it right back with the next basket.

Columbia managed to maintain the lead in the second half as the Cougars started to connect well with each other and the basket. Despite the Scots final attempt to catch up to the Cougars, Columbia stayed strong defensively to secure the win.
