Cougars Soar Past Eagles

Columbia, Mo. – The 15th ranked Cougars took the court this evening when they hosted Williams Baptist (Ark.) University in an AMC matchup. The Cougars defeated the Eagles 89-63 and are now 19-4 on the season and 15-2 in conference play.
 
The Eagles had a great showing in the first quarter, keeping up with the Cougars, but Columbia was quick to shut them down and extended their lead in the second quarter. The Cougars racked up 14 more points than Williams Baptist and had 10 steals before heading to the locker room.
 
Senior Raegan Wieser led the way for Columbia, scoring 14 out of the 33 points made by the Cougars in the third quarter. Columbia slowed the pace down in the final quarter while still remaining dominant for their 15th conference win.

Cougars more than doubled the Eagles points in the third quarter to give them a 32-point lead heading into the final quarter of the game.
