Columbia, Mo. – The No 5 ranked Columbia men's lacrosse team hit the road as they traveled to St. Louis, Missouri to face off against the Missouri Baptist University Spartans in a KCAC matchup. The Cougars defeated the Spartans with a final score of 12-6. The Cougars are now 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.

Q1-(MBU) The Spartans got on the board first with a 25-yard line goal. (CC-0, MBU-1)
Q1-(CC) At the eight minute mark, Ethan Kirchbergfound the back of the net to tie the game. (CC-1, MUB-1)
Q1- (MBU) The Spartan's Joe Ripson got the break away for their second goal. (CC-1, MBU-2)
Q1-(CC) Two minutes later Trevor Doren was able to find the net for a man up goal. (CC-2, MBU-2)
Q2- (MBU) The Spartan's were able to find their way to the net to take the lead by putting three goals up. (CC-2, MBU-5)
Q2- (CC) With multiple penalties by the Spartans, the Cougars took the opportunity to get the advantage. Tyler Parrott Found the net and two minutes later Parrott opened a path for JT Huez to net the ball. A minute and a half later Cooper Heck found Austen King for his first goal of the season. Q3- (CC) The Cougars stepped on the gas, within a minute of play as JT Huez passed the ball to John Thomas to score. Penalties by Missouri Baptist gave the chance for Trevor Doren to score and a minute later John Thomas found a way to help Cooper Heck net the ball to take the lead. John Thomas tallied his own hat trick from 15 yards out. (CC-9, MBU-5)
Q4-(CC) Trevor Doren found the net for His third goal and in the seventh minute JT Huez scored off a blocked shot. (CC-11, MBU-5)
Q4-(MBU) A penalty by Hunter Wadman gave the Spartans the opportunity to net their final goal of the game. (CC-9, MBU-6)
Q4-(CC) John Thomas finished the game with the assist from Tyler Parrott. (CC-12, MBU-6)
