T5 (LC) – Two doubles scored two runs to bring down the Lyon deficit. (CC-7, LC-4)
B5 (CC) – Dalton Bealmer hit a two-run homerun, his eighth homerun on the season. (CC-9, LC-4)
B6 (CC) – Kenny Piper kept up his momentum, adding another two-run homerun. (CC-11, LC-4)

B1 (CC) – Piper was on fire starting the game with another long ball, hitting one out of the park to lead the Cougars in homeruns this season with nine. (CC-1, LC-0)

Turning Point Game 1
Five hits in the fifth, including Jarett Newell's three-run homerun and Kenny Piper's solo homerun, scored a total of seven runs to give Columbia the win.
 
Turning Point Game 2
The Scots positioned their hits strategically to bring in four runs and increase their lead by seven to hand Columbia its first conference loss. 

Individual Leaders Game 1
Chris Wall had the start on the mound pitching 5.1 innings and struck out a total of 12 batters. Offensively, the Cougars were led by Piper who had two hits in four at-bats while scoring two runs and adding three RBI. Jarett Newell went two-for-four with a run scored and drove in three RBI, and Dalton Bealmer had a hit in two at-bats to score two runs and had 2 RBI.
 
Individual Leaders Game 2
Reid Browning got the start on the mound pitching 4.0 innings and striking out seven batters. Piper led the way again, going two-for-three while scoring two runs and tallying three RBI while Newell had one hit, a run scored, and added two RBI.

The Cougars will be back on the diamond tomorrow, Sunday, March 8 to finish their three-game series against the Lyon College Scots in a single 9-inning game starting at noon at Atkins Field.
