Canton, Mo. – The Columbia College volleyball team went 2-0 on the day defeating Culver-Stockton College (Mo.) and Avila University (Mo.). Columbia is now 3-1 on the season.

Set 1: Columbia 16 | Culver-Stockton 25
The Wildcats started off with a 3-0 run and didn't seem to slow down throughout the first set.
Set 2: Columbia 25 | Culver-Stockton 21
The Cougars came out strong in the second set and did not look back after taking an early 8-7 lead.
Set 3: Columbia 29 | Culver-Stockton 27
Each team went point-for-point throughout the entire set, but the Cougars got the advantage late, securing the third set.
Set 4: Columbia 25 | Culver-Stockton 20
The Wildcats led early in the fourth set, however, a late 5-0 run by the Cougars sealed the match.

The Cougars grabbed an early lead, but the Eagles stepped it up, eventually leading by six. Columbia then went on a 6-0 run and went on to win the first set.
Set 2: Columbia 25 | Avila 18
Columbia took control in the start of the second set and did not look back, edging past Avila.
Set 3: Columbia 30 | Avila 28
The Cougars went up by as many as nine before the Eagles slowly made their way back into the game. Several ties occurred before a service ace by Columbia to secure the match.
