Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College men's basketball squad earned their first AMC win of the season against the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, 80-54. The Cougars move to 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the AMC.
Columbia came strong out of the gates with back-to-back baskets and would go on an 8-0 run leading the Eutectics, 13-3. The Eutectics were able to get within six points, but the Cougars continued to dominate with a 17-point lead going into the half, 38-21.
It was all Columbia throughout the second half starting with a basket from the arc by
Harrison Vickers. The Cougars went on a 10-0 run continuing their lead with just under 16 minutes left to play, 51-25.
Columbia gained their largest advantage of the game of 36 points with two minutes remaining in the contest, 80-44. The Cougars followed through with a 80-54 victory over the Eutectics.

17-5 – The Cougars dished out 12 more assists than the Eutectics
47-38 – Columbia recorded a 47 percent field goal percentage compared to the Eutectics 38 percentage
