St. Louis, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, October 3. 

AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Peri Welch

Welch, a freshman from Columbia,. Mo., placed 103rd out of 230 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival. She ran the 5K course in a time of 18:33.0. This is her third weekly award of the season. 

AMC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Victoria Heus

Heus, a junior goalkeeper from Cologne, Germany, made four stops in the Cougars 1-0 win over William Woods. This is her first weekly award of the season.
