Men's Basketball Crushes Waldorf

Springfield, Mo. – The Columbia College men's basketball bounced back from a tough loss to defeat Waldorf (Iowa), 95-55.

The two teams battled back and forth, as a jumper by Tony Burks gave CC the biggest lead of the first ten minutes at 22-14. From that point on, the Cougars started to dominate. A free throw by Burks with 7:01 remaining in the first half pushed CC's lead to double figures and it remained a double-digit game the rest of the contest.

CC continued to exploit in the Waldorf defense inside, as a jumper from Collin Parker extended the to 20 for the first time (44-24) with 2:30 left in the opening half. The Cougars would take a 19-point advantage to the locker room, as Chima Oduocha knocked down a field goal as time expired.

The second half was no contest as the Cougar lead never fell below 20 points.

Key Moment:
A free throw by Tony Burks gave CC a double-digit lead with 7:01 left in the first half. Waldorf trailed by at least ten points the rest of the game.
