Volleyball Announces Spring Portion of 2020-21 Season

Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College Athletics Department has announced the spring schedule for the Cougars volleyball team. Columbia produced a 10-3 overall record this fall, while recording a 4-1 record in the American Midwest Conference (AMC).
 
2021 Volleyball Schedule Highlights
  • The Cougars will start their season versus Grand View (Iowa) on February 19 in St. Louis, Mo. (Hosted by Missouri Baptist)
  • Columbia will host a triangular on February 23 with matches against William Penn (4:00 p.m.) and William Woods (8:00 p.m.).
  • The Cougars will play four American Midwest Conference opponents during the spring 2021 season.
  • The AMC Tournament is scheduled April 5-10 which is hosted by the highest seed.
  • The NAIA National Tournament Opening Round takes place on April 17 at campus sites, while the final site takes place on April 27 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Columbia Leaders from the Fall:
Kills per game: Sidney Branson (3.5)
Blocks per game: Bailee Ulery (.56), Ellie Crede (.61) – each with 20 total blocks on the season.
Assists per game: Luisa Ferreira (10)
Digs per game: Jaqueline Silva (3.7)
 
Spectator Policy:
At this time Columbia College and the Athletics Department are limiting home attendance to essential personnel only.
 
The Athletics Department continues to work closely with the on-campus COVID task group, local health professionals and continuously evaluates health conditions in Missouri, the City of Columbia and our campus to see if changes to the policy can be made later this semester.
