Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College baseball team defeated Culver-Stockton on Wednesday to improve to 9-2 on the season. The Cougars have now won a season-best five straight.

The Scoring
B1 (CC) – The Cougars scored on an RBI double by Dalton Bealmer and added another on a fielder's choice. (CC-2, CSC-0). 
B3 (CC) – Bealmer drove in two on a 2-run home run. (CC-4, CSC-0)
T6 (CSC) – The Wildcats cut the deficit to one with a three-run sixth. (CC-4, CSC-3)
B7 (CC) – Columbia added four runs, thanks to five hits and a Wildcat error (CC-8, CSC-3)
B8 (CC) – Bealmer hit a solo home run (CC-9, CSC-3). 

Individual Leaders

Josiah Imhoff got the win in relief, tossing 1.2 innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out one. Dalton Bealmer led the offensive attack with five hits, four RBIs and two home runs. The top three hitters for Columbia combined to go 10-for-15 at the plate with four RBIs and five runs scored.

Due to the pending forecast, the three-game home series this weekend against Northwestern (Iowa) has been canceled. 

The Cougars are looking at other opportunities to play this weekend, but at this time, the next scheduled game is Tuesday, March 16, against (10) Central Methodist at Atkins Park.
