Hannibal, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team split their doubleheader with Hannibal-LaGrange on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars took three-of-four from the Trojans.

The Scoring – Game 1
B2 – The Trojans produced two singles while Columbia endured two errors allowing two runs on the board. (CC 0, HLGU 2)
T7 – Dalton Bealmer knocked one over the center-field fence giving the Cougars their only run of the game. (CC 1, HLGU 2)
The Scoring – Game 2
T1 - Dalton Bealmer produced his second home run of the day, giving the Cougars their first run of the game. (CC 1, HLGU 0)
T3 – Another homer from Kole Ficken was added to the Cougar lead. Two hits by Dalton Bealmer and Kendrick Delima allowed two more runs to score. (CC 4, HLGU 0)
B3 – One hit and two fielding errors by Columbia allowed two runs from the Trojans. (CC 4, HLGU 2)
T5 – Three errors from Hannibal-LaGrange along with two Cougar hits extended the Cougar advantage with five runs. (CC 9, HLGU 2)
B6 – Three hits allowed the Trojans to produce two runs. (CC 9, HLGU 4)
B7 – The Trojans did not back down, scoring one run off a fielder's choice. (CC 9, HLGU 5)
T8 – Kenny Piper started off the inning with a solo shot to left field. A double by Dalton Bealmer followed by a Kendrick Delima single scored one run. (CC 11, HLGU 5)
T9 – Three hits along with a triple from David Dell allowed the final three Cougars runs. (CC 14, HLGU 5)
Game 1 Turning Point
Two hits in the second inning by Hannibal-LaGrange and two fielding errors from Columbia put the Trojans on top.
Game 2 Turning Point
A strong eighth inning by Columbia put them in front six runs, beginning with a home run from Kenny Piper.
Game 1 Individual Leaders
Mark Haire pitched 4.2 innings, striking out five while allowing six hits and two runs. Conner Darnell took the mound the rest of the way for 1.1 innings, allowing one hit. Dalton Bealmer recorded one home run, one hit, and one RBI. Kellen Williamson and Kenny Piper each recorded one hit for the Cougars.
Game 2 Individual Leaders
Pharon Pilgrim earned the win in the circle throwing five innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out six. Another notable performance came from Jake Deakins pitching 1.2 innings striking out three. Kendrick Delima led the Cougars with three hits and four RBI's, while Dalton Bealmer produced three hits with three RBI's. Braden Desonia and Kenny Piper each recorded three hits for Columbia.
