Cougars Make History in Win Against Central Baptist

Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team (33-5) broke a 15-year old record with a 4-3 win over Central Baptist (Ark.) in the American Midwest Conference Softball Tournament.

The Cougars have won 29-straight games with the win, setting a new program record for most consecutive wins (2006).

Taylor Barnes scored on a stolen (CC 1, CBC 0)

Allison Seats homered (CC 1, CBC 1)

Allison Keen doubled home two runs (CC 3, CBC 1)

Individual Leaders
Alyssa Roll gets the win tossing five innings in relief, allowing just two earned runs and striking out three. Taylor Barnes reached base three times with three hits and scored three runs. Allison Keen drove in a game-high three runs.

Up Next: 
The Cougars will face Central Baptist on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the AMC Softball Tournament Championship on the line. Central Baptist would need to win twice.
