Columbia, Mo. – College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced the 2020-21 Academic All-District® for baseball. The All-District team is selected by CoSIDA members and recognizes top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Graduate Student, Kenny Piper, was named to the First-Team in District Three. The Florissant, Mo.-native lead the team with a .418 batting average, 59 runs scored, 19 doubles, and was tied for the team lead with 17 home runs.
Piper is receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching and had a 3.78 GPA in undergraduate classes while turning in a 4.00 GPA in his master classes.
This is the eighth award that Piper has received so far this season – First-Team All-AMC, AMC Champions of Character Team, First-Team NAIA All-American, First-Team ABCA All-American, Academic All-AMC, AMC Gold Glove Team, and ABCA-Rawlings NAIA Gold Glove Team.
Piper is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America® which will be announced later in July.
